About The Author

Rebecca “Becca” Niemeyer is a board certified Physician Associate with a B.S. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Denver, and an MSPAS from Jefferson University in New Jersey/Philadelphia. She is currently practicing family medicine in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, after having previously spent 6 years specializing in Otolaryngology. Becca loves the art of medicine, but also has a passion for creativity and storytelling.
A lifelong lover of reading, Becca always dreamed of writing her own stories. Her journey as an author began with her spirited young daughter, whose imagination (and stubbornness!) inspired her to finally create her first children's book, Zucchini Just Want to Be Eaten. Through her writing, Becca aims to ignite a love for reading in young minds, exploring themes of courage, creativity and empathy.
As a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Rocky Mountain Chapter, Becca is actively engaged in the writing community. When she’s not practicing medicine or writing, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family, indulging in a good book, and fostering creativity in her daughter. She believes that every story has the power to inspire and connect, and she’s excited to start sharing her tales with the world.
